Well trying to seem normal would get him pretty far, but eventually the OCD is going to interfere. Plus he's just weird and old fashioned anyway. I am leaning toward childhood/teenage stuff and maybe an on again off again, casual type college girlfriend.

Then I think something triggered his OCD to get worse and he's been alone for a long time.
