Apparently at one point in this cursed editing process I saved Will and Charlie in rich text in addition to the normal Word file and then continued editing...the rich text version.

It's down to 181,000 words so far...but I have this feeling I started out editing the Word version and now I need to edit the beginning again.

...

SIGH.

I hate when stuff like that happens :-(

It not only sucks, but I already had drama with them once when my comp crashed last year and open office erased the second half and all my notes. ARGH.

I think it's fate telling me it that it might be fun, but it will never be publishable, and I should quit editing right now.

Yes/yes? :)

I could always just post it online with Ideas of Sin. :) It's not that I'm afraid of the hard work involved (though I am lazy) but more that I honestly don't know what to do with them. Right now I'm just striking out unnecessary words and correcting grammar. Actually fixing them....OY.

And what's up with you, nice lady listening to me whine and whine and whine?

Heh, fellow feeling :-) Plus, that's one of LJ's reasons for being.

Oh, ack. Can you transfer the rich text to normal document?

Also: editing the beginning? Sounds disturbingly familiar ... *crossed fingers* Good luck!

I resolved the problem. Well, not like the technical problem, just the editing thing. I think the beginning is the problem anyway. (It's the first thing I've ever started without a plan, which is why the beginning is a mess.) It just plain needs more editing. :)
