cuz tonight I'm livin' in a fantasy
Holy shit, release day.
I mean, not that it matters in the grand scheme of life or anything. Just that I am all nervous and fluttery about it and I still have to go to work and be all normal and calm and shit. :(
No fun. I will imagine Chandler/Kent sex while there maybe. Just for funsies. Then maybe work on original plotting stuff like a good girl.
Meanwhile, just a reminder for anyone who feels they need an epilogue that one does in fact exist. And it's free! (You just have to suffer my bad Spanish).
Somebody Named Will
So much love to everyone today. Especially Claire and Paulina and Daphne and Dreamsparkle, for keeping me on target. :)

Re: Backatcha.:)
It is exhausting pretending to be normal, even if you don't do it very well. It would be why he doesn't go out much. Even a short evening out would wear him down.
I had an idea for a short fic. Though I don't think I will write it.
Re: Backatcha.:)
So, over 35?
Add to the stress of trying to fit in, he's an idealist. That would make this specific job a bad idea.
Tell me?
Re: Backatcha.:)
I want something simple and short. But basically that Chandler has injured himself somehow and doesn't have use of his hands (for maybe a few days, maybe longer) and is freaking out about it in his office because he knows that means a change in his routine and most likely Myles or a nurse or someone touching him and/or just doing things to mess him up. And a possible stay with Myles in his messy house with the screaming baby. Which is like an OCD nightmare. Only he can't calm himself down like he'd usually do with the Tiger Balm so he is sitting with his eyes closed and trying not to outwardly panic or show his rising headache, and then someone comes in that he assumes is Myles only it's Kent.
And I want him like, being all, let me help you sir, and not giving him a chance to argue before rubbing his temples with it etc... And then Myles coming in and Chandler being all stumbly about it, like he does when around gay stuff and Myles's knowing expression, only Myles doesn't say anything about it. He just looks and then announces there's a change of plans and Kent will be looking after him tonight, the team's decided. Because no way would Chandler argue against the squad or want to make a scene, and going to his own home is better than being babysat in Myles's house. And he would totally miss the look Myles would give Kent and everything.
I am a dork. I know it.
Re: Backatcha.:)
I just want Kent to dress Chandler. You know, all gentlemanly, blushing at the same time. Huuuuge mutual embarrassment with a slight hint of actual intimacy and trust.
Re: Backatcha.:)
OH MY GOD. That would be amazing. I WANT IT. Why can't this happen? Who do we need to bribe?
Re: Backatcha.:)
We don't know anybody and nobody watches the show, dammit.
Re: Backatcha.:)
I bet Kent has studied too though.
both povs work too. Chandler's if you wanted like the embarrassed flashbacks to the feel of Kent;'s hands at his temples while Kent is dressing him and the nerves and trying to seem calm for Kent at the same time, or Kent for trying to be gentle and unobtrusive and yet loving every moment and then wanting to be a gentleman and not look but of course seeing skin and everything.
Re: Backatcha.:)
I think one could fudge the details a bit with bespoke suits. Make it more about the emotions, sensations, not *how*.
I assume Chandler wears plain boxers.
Kent pov is easier. Simpler language AND that way there is the added bonus of Kent seeing Chandler react (and in a good way). That's gotta be like Christmas. :)
Re: Backatcha.:)
Well the hands could be burns, chemical or otherwise. That's easy enough. Or cuts with stitches. And Kent I assume because Miles was going to do it, because he's like family, but he's got a baby and a family etc... and enough to do and when he goes in and sees Kent rubbing balm on Chandler's temples (which is totally still happening) he goes..."ah" mentally and gets it and decides to give Kent a chance. Also you know, he has enough to do.
And I think Mansell would be a no and Riley would make Chandler even more uncomfortable.
Re: Backatcha.:)
Miles would totally leave Chandler in Kent's hands. Just to see what happens. And that's like training wheels for guys like him anyways, so it's technically a nice thing to do.
Re: Backatcha.:)
This is so adorable! waaaaah! Why can't it already *be* for us to read?
Re: Backatcha.:)
Internet is not fair. Booooo.
Re: Backatcha.:)
I have this image of Kent seeing a flash of skin and staring for a second too long and then being all obvious about looking away and keeping his eyes averted.
Re: Backatcha.:)
I want accidental half hard on and furious blushing and heavy breathing.
Because I'm not at all specific, no sir.
Re: Backatcha.:)
Because there has to be a second night. And he tells himself Kent is better than anyone else would be, and if Kent doesn't mind....
But by the second night he's less worried about germs and touching more just worried about the touching in a whole new way.
Re: Backatcha.:)
Maybe Kent if so efficient that Chandler lets his guard down a bit. And then, BOOM. Accidental skin touching leads to embarrassing physiological things happening.
Something.
Ugh. Fucking allergy season. It's like I have fluff instead of a brain.
Re: Backatcha.:)
So of course he's more at ease and maybe even smiling a bit and not paying attention and it's been a very very long time since anyone has touched him, much less touched him so intimately.
Re: Backatcha.:)
And he has always been just a tad sensitive anyways. *cough*
Re: Backatcha.:)
Re: Backatcha.:)
Like a clockwork, once a day? Two days?
Re: Backatcha.:)
Btu some days thoughts slip in there, based on sensory information he couldn't help but receive but which he hasn't processed yet. Things like the weight of someone's (Kent's) hand at his back for a moment in a crowded space and the warmth of his breath.
Re: Backatcha.:)
And he 'tries' not to think about anything (anybody) specific. (Maybe for gentlemanly reasons. Hard to look people in face after.)
Re: Backatcha.:)
Except for every once in a while someone actually gets him going and it's always an accident and he can't help himself.
Re: Backatcha.:)
Re: Backatcha.:)
It would be all he could think about.
