You know when you have all the ideas and you just want to write everything and you can't because that just isn't possible but also because of Other Things and Real Life?

SIGH.

Hi! No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I've been focused on finally (FUCKING FINALLY) finishing a draft of Little Wolf. (Or whatever I decide to call it.) Talk about a story that got away from me. Oy! The thing is almost 400 pages so yes, I need to edit that a lot. Unfortunately I can't edit it right now because I'm busy editing Wicklow's Odyssey for your consideration and that is a lot of work too. So much work. At least Wicklow and Rhoades are lovely. (And the others, who really need porn of their own. I mean... romances of their own... and then porn. Then after I think about all that fun stuff I get to worrying that Wicklow and Rhoades and their story might be too weird for people. I think it's lovely but I'm such a nerd. And dork. Dorky nerd. My Tumblr is testament to this.)

The point being, never fear I have been working. And of course, the CUTEST fairy story popped into my head during all of this because I can't write it right now and that is always the way. (BUT HIS NAME IS TULIP AND I LOVE HIM. TULIP THE SOMEWHAT SHY FAIRY.HE NEEDS ALL THE PETS AND CUDDLES IN THE WORLD. FLOWER CROWNS MIGHT BE INVOLVED. I NEED TO STOP THE CAPSLOCK NOW, I KNOW. ahem.)

My brain might be a little fried from nonstop writing/editing. This is very possible. I apologize. Also, hey, everyone. I think Wicklow comes out in June or July. I want to be writing and I can't right now. That's all. Update over. :)

Thought of you the other day. Watched "Two for the Road" with Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney. Man, was he a hunk and a half! Plus, well, good acting, too. Loved the plastic pantsuit!

I own How to Steal a Million (which, despite Sabrina and Roman Holiday being my favs of hers) holds a special, cheesy place in my heart!

Hello! I just started reading A Boy and His Dragon, and I'm really enjoying it, so I poked around Google to see if I could find out more. Boy was I surprised that you're active on LJ! (Seems all the best authors are!)

Did you know there's an Andrea R. Cooper who also writes paranormal romance books? I found her site first (http://www.andrearcooper.com/) and for a brief time thought it was you.

I'm glad I found the right you, so I can thank the right person. :) I'm only a couple chapters in, but I'm loving your characters so much. I can't wait to read more!

Andrea R. Cooper sounds familiar... something with a Garnet? I don't read as much as I should. Too busy with the mess of stories I never finish.

So glad to hear you are enjoying Bertie and his Arthur. Bertie makes me smile. He does so love his pearl.

Yep, you're right! From her site: "The Garnet Dagger - debut fantasy/paranormal romance by Andrea R. Cooper".

I'm loving them! And I'm dying to learn more about them! This is one of those kinds of books where I take time from other activities so I can read more than usual. I wish I were young again, I used to be able to read from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep, but my eyes can't take that anymore.

I review all books that I read. Usually I'd be nervous to offer a link to an author, but unless something changes in the latter two-thirds of the book, I'll be writing nothing but positive stuff. (The worst part about reviewing books is when an author finds a negative one I wrote. I can only be honest in my reviews, but I HATE the idea of hurting someone's feelings.) Would you be interested in a link to it once I'm done?

:)
Um, you can send the link, but I can't guarantee I will read it. Reviews are... a strange thing to read as an author and sometimes even good ones can distract me or send me in a weird direction when I'm in the middle of writing. But thank you for offering, for even wanting to read and review. That's amazing.

Can't wait!

Dear Ms. Cooper,

You are my favorite M/M author, although I really don't like choosing amongst my favorites, and I've read over 3000 M/M books/stories at this point. Sometimes it feels like I've read everything ever written in this genre. I particularly love Some Kind of Magic (my absolutely favorite comfort and much-adored read) and Let There be Light. I loved the unique style and sensibility you bring to your stories. Your earlier stories (SKM, LTBL, Winner Takes It All, A Wealth of Unsaid Words, My Man Godric) are particularly beautiful. Please never lose that touch.

3000 books sounds like a lot! You're right. That might actually be everything in the genre! Wow.

And I'm honestly touched that you'd even rank me at all after having read... basically everything there is! (Especially with LTBL. No one ever reads that little one but it was my first--if I don't count IoS since it was never officially published--and I love it so. I just want to be an audience member and regular viewer in a world where LTBL is a series on HBO or Showtime or something and I get to watch Hart and Karol fall in love and hate each other and love each other more. SIGH).

Thank you.
