You guys. Honestly. You guys. You wonderful goobs who ran out and read The Firebird and Other Stories right away, and then asked me all the nerdy awesome questions about it! :):):) <3 I hope the love outweighs any trauma. And as always, if you really want to know something, or just want to ALL CAPS TALK ABOUT SIMON'S FASHION CHOICES OR RENNET MY DARLING OR YELL AT ME FOR DESTROYING SOULS, or whatever, feel free to message me. I'm available basically everywhere but Twitter.

In other news, The Winter Prince was accepted. Yaaaay! This is basically a fairy tale, about a prince who gave away his heart to a magical creature, and now has to get it back, or he will freeze to death without its warmth. (It helps that he has the court wizard along, who might be, you know, the kind of person who would make him feel things if he still had a heart.) So that should be out next year. I don't have specific dates yet, but Dancing Lessons should come out in January (ish) and then The Winter Prince in February or March.

No, neither of those stories involve beings. But in a way, they both involve fairy tales, so there is that. (Dancing Lessons is contemporary. About emotionally fragile Chico (Sheeco) with his big brown eyes, and clever, shameless Rafael, the dance teacher who would really, really like to love him.)

I, um, also wrote a short thing to release on Amazon for autumn/Halloween. It's pretty simple. I wanted a fluffy story about pumpkins and crunchy leaves, but what I got is a powerful, lonely witch and this dork who may or may not love him. There might also be a ghost and a talking raven.

There is definitely a ghost and a talking raven.

Yeah. So that will be around in the beginning of October. Probably just on Amazon at first, because they make covers for you, and I can't afford to pay an artist what they are worth.

Anyway. This is mostly for the seven of you who like me. (I feel like Sally Field right now, if that's not too old of a reference to make.) Thank you! You guys are awesome! Your reactions to the Firebird are truly fantastic. <3

Love your writing!!!

I am very happy to hear you liked it that much!

I will do something for Albert and Graham someday, but I haven't decided what yet. (But they do deserve a Happily Ever After. Albert especially!)

Woohoo!!

Thank you for writing the kind of love stories that make my heart so happy!

I recently recommended Vincent to a friend because I want everyone to love him like it do.

Um...**circles toe on the floor** I'm a HUGE fan of yours (seriously, A Boy and His Dragon - ebook, print, and audio book. I would DIE if Wicklow's Odyssey came out in audio! Seriously, DIE!!) But, um...I'm a Kobo user. Is there anyway for us none Kindle users to get a copy of this Halloween story?

Aw! I so want everyone to have a way to read it. I... could try. The thing is, every single self publishing site has different formatting or cover requirements, and I remember trying to get something up on ARE for people and just getting it rejected over and over for different technicalities so I gave up. I've done Smashwords before. I might put it up on both for like a week and then take it down from Smashwords for a while. But the Smashwords version basically wouldn't have a cover.
I will see what I can do. :)

I just love your stories. I was thrilled when I returned from holiday, remembered to check here for updates and found that the book was available! Simon used the right word - yearning. That's what your stories are filled with, and I don't think anyone does it better. They're very hot, but so poignant, too. Thank you for continuing to treat us with your words. Off to continue with the book now. :)

Well I hope you still think so when you are finished with the book. :)

Simon! I adore Simon! I am so glad you quoted him. He's so regal and uncertain, and he loves Tank so much.

Just finished Firebird :)

Especially loved the Jaguar/Muxie fic, and Rennet is a showstealer - nevermind Weres/Frairies world needs more Imps!! (though it might not survive them) The image of Tank and his cocktail made me grin.

Nice feel of the different time-periods without getting too much into them. Which is to say the focus never left the characters.

Knowing how often you write extra snippets though I feel bound to campaign for a little Deigo pov snippet (I know we're never satisfied) I loved Mikki but it was from his pov and he couldn't see how special he is.

I, somewhat drunkenly, did a sort of Diego POV snippet the other day. His view of Miki is pretty much that Miki is a miracle and amazing and wonderful, and I don't think, even later in their relationship, that will ever really change. He is extremely grateful for the second chance he's been given, and he's a wise enough fellow to see the wonder in everything Miki does. I kind of want to send them up to Wolf's Paw, so Diego can fuck him in the Meadows or something. I think they would both like that.

Have you posted it? I've missed it if so.

I can't imagine that, Miki being so shy a person. Could definitely see them in a garden of Miki's own though.

Give Miki a few years of being unabashedly adored. He's never going to be Tim's level of exhibitionist, but he is accepting of werewolf ways.
They would get down a lot in Miki's garden though.
